Keenon joins the cast of 42nd St!

Keenon is beyond to join the team at Palos Verdes Performing Arts with 42nd St, his all time favorite musical! Keenon will serve as Associate Choreographer, and play the role of Andy Lee. Come and meet those dancing feet in a glittery and glamorous production of the musical comedy classic that tells the story of a young, small town dancer who becomes a Broadway star. The Tony Award-winning song and dance extravaganza features spectacular tap numbers and some of the greatest songs ever written, including “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” “I Only Have Eyes For You” and of course “42nd Street.”

Back by popular demand, Keenon's conservatory Studio C Performing Arts teams up with 3000 Miles from Broadway to remount the musical All Shook Up this Spring! Take the timeless songs of Elvis Presley, combine them with the plot of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, add some hip-swiveling swagger and get 'em All Shook Up. The result is this hit Broadway show about a '50s-era guitar-playing roustabout who rides into a small town and changes everything -- especially the life of a young girl with big dreams and a bigger crush. With a book by Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis), this musical comedy rocks and rolls with such beloved hits like "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock," "Love Me Tender," and some 20 more all-time favorite Elvis tunes. So put on your Blue Suede Shoes and get on over to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center as Studio C Performing Arts presents ALL SHOOK UP from April 13 - 22. Keenon will team up with Broadways Cassie Silva (Rock of Ages, Matilda Nat'l Tour, Hairspray Movie) to choreograph the show, Barry Pear (Grease Movie, The Producers, Bye Bye Birdie) directs, and Emily Cohn will music direct. The show will be bigger and better, with new cast members and new sets! This is a remount you won't want to miss!

Keenon opens the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center's next season with Sister Act the musical. Sister Act is a feel-good musical comedy smash hit based on the 1992 film that has audiences ready to rejoice! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing, and equally outrageous costumes, the show has multiple wonderful roles and audience-pleasing moments. Keenon will choreograph the show, and can't wait to dazzle audiences with this wonderful show!

Keenon is honored to make his debut with Musical Theatre West as choreographer for Irving Berlin's White Christmas! Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which ijust happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. the dazzling score features well known standards including "Blue Skies, I Love a Piano, How Deep is the Ocean, and the perennial favorite White Christmas." Keenon reprises his role in The All Night Strut with San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre

Keenon is excited to make his debut with the newly branded SLO Repertory Theatre in their innagural production of The All Night Strut! He will be reprising his role he recently created with Oregon Cabaret Theatre and will also serve as the dance captain. Director/Choreographer Michael Jenkinson restages this fabulous show after the critically acclaimed Oregon run. Running August 25th - September 17th, The All Night Strut is a two-act musical celebration of the 1930's and 40's filled with jazz, blues, bebop, and American songbook standards. Keenon is excited to return to PVPA, this time in the Directors chair with Seussical Jr.  A fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Seussical transports audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. This spring, Keenon will head up to Ashland, Oregon to work with Oregon Cabaret Theatre. He joins the company as a performer in The All Night Strut, and as choreographer for The Drowsy Chaperone!


Running April 20th - June 25th, The All Night Strut is a two-act musical celebration of the 1930's and 40's filled with jazz, blues, bebop, and American songbook standards. Weaving together the work of legendary songwriters such as Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Duke Ellington, Jonny Mercer, Cab Calloway, and the Gershwins, the story moves through time and place to highlight a slick slice of yesteryear and capture a beloved American era.


Running July 6th - September 3rd, The Drowsy Chaperone is a hilarious musical which received 5 Tony Awards when it premiered in 2006, including Best Book and Best Original Score. A deliciously meta look at the cliches and contrivances of early musicals, join us as a drily witty theatre-super-fan leads us on a literal tour of his favorite (fictitious) musical come to life, featuring lovers, bumblers, theatre producers, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, and of course a tipsy chaperone!
