Join Keenon as he celebrates the holidays with the beloved family classic Irving Berlin's White Christmas, now a San Diego tradition in its 5th year! Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is The Ocean and the perennial favorite White Christmas. Nostalgic and charming White Christmas is an uplifting musical worthy of becoming a year round tradition. Keenon will set the Lisa Hopkins choreography for the show for the 3rd year in a row, after dance captaining for the original production. For more information, visit http://www.sdmt.org

Keenon to set his choreograpy for 13 the musical once again!

Posted by Keenon Hooks on December 18, 2015 at 4:50 PM Comments comments ()

Keenon reunites with Barry Pearl and Sarah Maher, to once again collaborate on 13 the musical. This time with the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Conservatory. This one is special, because both Keenon and Sarah are Alumnus of that program. So returning on staff to choreograph the show is a wonderful and honorable treat! 13 is a fresh, funny, and touching coming of age story for all ages. Following a move from New York City to small-town Indiana, young Evan Goldman grapples with his parents' divorce, prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah, and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school. With a blast of high voltage energy, 13 navigates the ups and downs of turning 13-years-old. 13 runs at the Norris Theatre February 19 - 28.
